The WaterNet is similar to the InterNet. The ability to connect over distance electricity, information, water, and transportation of people and goods is a pillar of the 21st Century. As long as we know the Oceans have been connected and people have developed ways to navigate from location to location as well as having placed undersea cables to transfer information and electricity.

The WaterNet is designed to take some of the 70% of the water on the earth out of the oceans; desalinate water to make it good for drinking and farming; and bring it to land while generating electric power.

Once the water reaches land a series of aqueducts and pipelines underground and above ground will follow the Interstate Highway System and major roads as well as flood control channels, rivers, and streams to distribute the water to eliminate water scarcity in dry regions.
